Maybe for a bumper to bumper commute ? That’s why I also bought a tiptronic, solely for that reason ..

I have been a member of this forum for a long time but have not been active for years. I have a 1992 slate gray tiptronic coupe that I have owned for over 20 years. It was my daily driver for several years but became my "garage queen" after getting a pickup. It is mechanically sound and have not been exposed to harsh weather. She has had recent service (this included the timing belts being replacemed) by a local shop that specializes in older Porsches.
I don't know how to upload and post pictures on this site, however, I am willing to send you some detailed current pictures. My email address is Lrmccray51@gmail.com.
Hope to hear from you

My midnight blue 1994 with Tiptronic might be for sale. It has been well loved and maintained. (I have many receipts from the previous owners... all of them from California until me. Now the car is in Oregon.) Some very minor repairs have been completed since I've owned it, such as replacing a bad thermostatic fan switch and also sunroof gears. I've just had the front seats reupholstered. I still need to repair the cruise control, and I'm thinking it could use new tires and a fresh battery. Otherwise it's in excellent mechanical condition. Small dings in the front fenders (above the wheels) could be caressed out by a professional. As far as I can tell, the paint is original and it's in excellent condition! Original 17" wheels. I was planning to hold onto and enjoy this car longer... but your timing might be lucky because I could use some cash to pay for a new detached garage.

Thank you for the responses. Sorry for the delay as I thought I would get an email notice with any responses. Someone was kind enough to PM me. I am following up with the Rookie. Would prefer the 6 speed for sure, just can't with the condition of my left knee. I would rather keep a grin driving then wincing with each shift.

Still looking? There’s a guy making noise about selling a rare Slate Grey coupe (1/54) on the other site.

dleaer476, Thank you for the link. That is the same car Ghreyfox posted about above. He has told me that he has changed his mind and is not selling it.

Oh, too bad. If another pops up, I’ll post. We seem to be getting 2-3/year here in the local classifieds.

Does it have to be a tip?

I would prefer a tip but if the car was spectacular at a good value perhaps. I am just not sure about my left knee. It has been a long time now since I did a lot of clutching. Maybe I could work into it.

I ran into this one the other day. Its in Medford, Oregon. https://www.facebook...07-afd2e926033c
the pictures are limited.. $16k USD and $78k miles. as always be careful. I don't know anything more than that.
btw, do you have more photos of your current 968? Looks a lot like my 92 but you have nicer wheels. Sorry to hear about your knee, that sucks.

Went to Stable Energies in Garfield NJ yesterday to get some new racing shoes and a hybrid Simpson neck restraint. I pull into the lot and lo and behold there is an orange 968. Young lady working the store was the owner. We had a nice 968 chat. There aren’t many of us out there so it was kind of neat.

snova & dlear476,
Thank you both for the leads. Greatly appreciated. I have spoken with both parties.
snova, This car seems nice but has not been driven much at all for years, was purchased at a charity auction and it needs all the obligatory maintenance if not more.
dlear476, Your lead has also not been driven hardly at all for the last 10 years, has sat outside under a tarp the last few years and had to be towed to a repair shop just to get it running. It needs a whole lot more than the obligatory maintenance. All things taken into account it was severely overprized and a bit risky to me.
Not sure I want to dive into cars that will need a good deal of money to bring them up to date and a lot of TLC for the foreseeable future. Maybe I should look for a well maintained up to date 6 speed.

I wish it was still current. I should have never sold it. I have tried tracking down the buyer but no luck. I guess this should work:
