Not intentionally taking on that type of dog in, it just turns out that is what we end up with. The current one is finally safe around humans and short term with other dogs but I don't think he would tolerate another dog in the house for more than a few days. I actually tried to get my wife to take him back to the rescue after 3 days but that did not happen. Pisses us off that he is that way because we always want more than one even if the others are short term fosters. I do not trust this guy that far unless the second one is 125+ with he hide of a rhino, we had some serious battles here when there was second 110 pound shepherd in the house after my idiot decided to start stuff after a week.

good looking dog.
if you think dealing with shepherds is hard, try dealing with wolves. i've had a few. during a heat with a female, i had a knock down drag out with a male and had to beat him with a 2x4. very different world with them. very pack oriented, and you must become the alpha male on THEIR terms, not yours. definitely not for the meek.
