Not too far from Menlo Park and Palo Alto : The Mechanic in Redwood City. Moddermann Service in Mountain View .
Just curious, how does Ventura fit in the same category with MP or PA which are a couple of miles from one another, and Ventura is about 300 miles away ?

Thanks ds968, made a change -
Apparently, there is a neighborhood just south of Stanford Univ. & College Terrace called Ventura.
Made a correction.

Have you had any experience with Modderman?
Thanks

No personal experience with Moddermann but he has a really good reputation and solid familiarity of 968s which as we all know is not an easy find..

The Renn Shop in Santa Clara did a PPI for me about 3 years ago when I looked at my first 968. Marvin, the proprietor, is as knowledgeable about Porsches as anyone I've ever met. He helped me avoid a bad car.

ds968,
Had the PPI done at Modderman this week, thanks for the recommendation. I found them to be very thorough and cooperative. Plus the owner, Dave Modderman is a previous 968 owner, that helped.
Their inspection and impressions of the car confirmed my thoughts and made my decision to purchase on the car that much easier.

This was a first for me, purchasing a vehicle sight unseen and un-driven, no touchy feely in person experience to rely on!
Feel pretty confident though...... I'll see how I feel Tuesday or Wednesday when the car is delivered.

Thanks again
Mylz87

Thanks

Cool, glad it worked out well... and congrats ! I bought mine sight unseen and lucked out with a great car, but I think where possible a PPI ( especially when performed by a mechanic familiar with the 968 ) is invaluable .
