Jay did you get some new tats?
That's a great idea ; ladies go to the spa and the men go to the local tattoo parlor to get 968 script inked on our arms ;-) :-)

we have 11 more people and 6 more 968s "on the fence". i'm hoping they commit soon so i can finalize the arrangements.
i have been in constant touch with the spa, and it is extremely important that any of the women wanting to use their services call and make a reservation. this is not something to lag on. it is very clear to me that they will not be able to handle a last minute rush. nice people, but not used to such a big group.

this is especially true of the spa. as of friday, only 5 of the 14 women have made their reservations. i need to know how many more are going to be using the spa.
so, if you are coming, make your hotel and/or spa reservations, and get your check in the mail this week, or it might not get here in time.

about the only thing that can accommodate "party crashers" is the fun run, and even then you'll need to follow how we are doing things, as even that is going to be very organized, so that we make sure we don't lose people. you're welcome to join us for that, but at the end, we will need to go off for our lunch and onto our tours.
so, if you want to go, i highly recommend contacting me and registering. you only have a few days left before i have to call it "done" and close the doors.

Just kidding, I know how hard it is to herd cats. Seriously folks, if you are going say so and pay up now...this type of event takes a monumental effort and Flash is going to blow a gasket if there are any stragglers.
It has been adverttised for months..do it now!!!

yeah - i'm handling that all a bit differently. i will have wine and cheese ready for people, and have all their materials ready all at once.

My car is not being nice to me right now. My repair guy has had it for much longer than either of us anticipated, and now he has to put it aside for a while to finish another job. We have to source a main wiring harness now and I'm hoping we find a decent deal, because I'm running out of money real fast. I'm bummed about all this, and doubly bummed about missing the final wine tour bash, which looks to be a really great time.
This all reminds me of a time in the mid-90's when I owned my '68 Charger. I had put some killer Boyd's wheels on it and was going to attend a rare open house at Boyd Coddington's hot rod shop (this was when Chip Foose was still working there) to show off the car to Boyd himself. A few days before the event, the ignition cylinder (where you insert the key) in the car stopped working, and I couldn't get a replacement part in time to take the car to Boyd's. Talk about disappointment!
Man I miss this car sometimes...

Fast forward ten years. I had a warning sign - alarm started going off for no apparent reason after car was locked up - but evidently the creeping corrosion caused by the water finally got bad enough to cause quite a spectacular meltdown in the alarm and passenger airbag control modules, and the damage traveled far and wide in the surrounding wiring. At least the car didn't catch fire and burn to the ground.
Rap - the Charger had the original 383 with console shifted Torqueflite in it (I added a 750 4-barrel, headers, Flowmasters and front disc brakes off a junker). A nice 440 came with the car when I bought it, but I just didn't have the means or know-how to get it in there. So it looked good, but wasn't terribly fast.
