Here is a thought, maybe consider alternating between Paso and say the Santa Inez area. Some good wine made down that way, especially in the Los Olivos. Less driving for you and bit more us. Probably more expensive to stay, but worth talking about I think.
Dan - It may be that Bill and I are the only ones from the east bay that are coming, and he may decide to go down on Friday. If that is the case why not just meet at same place as last year and just go down on 280, a much more pleasant drive than the San Jose slog from my perspective. It is 200 miles from Alameda to Paso and I imagine about the same from where you are located. At an average of 70 mph that is a 3 hour run, so I'd build in a half hour cushion. We need to be in Paso by 11:30 which means we need to depart from you location by 8:15 latest of from Gilroy by 9:00 latest.
