You may want to check out the Swap Meet Car Corral on Saturday for 968 Cabriolets or just check with the 968 Cabriolet owners that participate. You just may get your wish to drive home - lol! Look forward to meeting you on Friday night at the hotel.

Got a call from my body shop guy yesterday. Car is going in for primer on Monday and he says no chance of getting it painted and back together by the weekend - wants to let the primer set for a few days before painting. Super bummed. Looks like next year for me.

but will I see you at the Brookline event?

Anyone selling a 6 speed CAB or know of anyone selling one at this event? I wouldn't mind being forced to drive home instead of flying...

As Don said, there are always a few nice 968s in the Coral. Last year they had a beautiful 95 968 cab in Aventurine green with the black/marble gray interior. Car sold for $24K. Had 35K miles on it.

lol - the good news is that there is no need to wash your car for the concours
how do you judge a muddy and wet car anyway?

Latest forecast (www.accuweather.com/en/us/Hershey-pa/17033/weekend-weather/340416 ) shows 74 degrees Friday, 65 degrees Saturday with 35 percent chance of a Thunderstorm. My personal plan is to check the forecast on Friday morning and if totally clear for Friday and Saturday, wash the car (yeah, inside the wheels too - ugh) However, iIf rain is forecast (40 percent or higher) for Saturday, car does not get washed since it will be "washed" at the Concours on Saturday. No need to worry about mud since the Swap Meet is held on the Hershey Parking lot. Yeah, my "garage queen" got wet last year at the Concours area and may get wet again this year - lol!
Bottom line, the 968 cars are our passion but the myriad of different owners (both wrench and non wrench) are really what makes attending these 968 events so great. Catching up on their lives plus checking out their latest modifications makes it worthwhile, in my opinion. Plus, the idea of picking up a rare 968 memorabilia item or that rare part (ex: sunroof, engine bay covers, etc) is worth the trip.
Look forward to seeing many of the 150 968 Celebration Alumni plus 968 newbies on Friday at the Hilton Garden Inn or at the Saturday Concours if you are only planning to come for the Porsche Only Swap Meet (www.cpa-pca.org/swap/ )

i'll pretty much always be there for this. i missed one, because we went to italy for a month. otherwise, i've been there for quite a few. might drive out next year in the blue car.
not carrying any product of any kind with me. no point. it's too small of an event to generate sales to justify it. the ventura event here was bigger, and the pomona event every year is a lot bigger. i could do a lot better there, were i inclined to set up a booth. but that's not why i go to these things.
pretty sure there will be plenty of cars there with the splitter on it though.

After paying the Swap Meet entrance fee ($10 per car) follow directions to the CONCOURS and then look for "Charlie Concours" (photo below). When you find Charlie at the front of the Concours entrance, I will assist you in parking in your class. I am planning on reserving 1 row for all 968s that participate in the Concours. If you do not park in the Concours area, please remember to vote for your favorite Concours Porsche in all classes. My car will be in Concours area but marked "Display Only" so you will not have any competition from me.
Hope to see you Friday night and Saturday at the Swap Meet!
Weather forecast in Hershey looking good for both Friday and Saturday.

now we're back to a 70% chance of rain on saturday, with a dew point that means it will likely be wet all day

as each hour passes, the time it looks like it's going to start raining keeps moving up. i was hoping to be in there and out before it started, but it looks now like no chance of that.
lol - and i'm again missing the festival of speed here where it is sunny and beautiful. what the heck am i doing?
