I get this about 50% of the time. When the page starts to load its like a 600% scale and only when the last parts of the page load does it rescale itself back down to 100% what you would normally see. I'm just guessing but I think there is a time out on the download of the page hence it never delivers the command that has it rescale the page.
Just wondering the 968forums image at the top, what size is that natively? As when it first comes down its the top 1/3 of the screen. Just a stab in the dark but If we are relying on the forum to scale the image maybe if we use a prescaled image it fix the scaling issue. The again being that all the text is also so large.

Why does this site suck...on my iPad?

HTML does not control the scaling, that is done by the browser so that would be a quirk (feature) that Apple provided. That will be .99 cents please.

This only happens every once in a while on my iPad. Other than that it works fine. I of course won't fathom a guess as to the reason.
