yup I also had no idea what the acronym stood for until a couple of years ago .. and no kidding about the U.S.-centric thing..but that's to be expected, considering our baseball finals are the WORLD Series !

As it stands the majority sides with Euro. Right hand drive, bumper regulations etc. it appears that only in the US do we demand foreign cars to meet our guidelines or its a no go. plus if it were German it would be RDW -Rest der Welt

I pretty sure in the case of the 968, and probably for Porsche cars in general, ROW refers to anything outside the German (or European) market. All of us here in the US should be driving ROW 968's.
Except that the U.S. was the only one to get special corner lights - the ROW all got the same. Thus making the reference that ROW means everything outside the US. haha
