A huge thanks to banditsc, without whom this would have been an incredibly long and painful process.
You wil notice a LOT of new stuff. The "VIEW NEW POSTS area should make a lot of people very happy. It is now much easier to customize for what you want to see.
There wil be more changes happening over the next couple of days, as we reinstall somethings, fix some bugs, and generally clean stuff up.
Thanks for your patience and understanding during this process.

Sheesh! How low must your self esteem be to think that true enthusiasts can only exsist in one place....?
Glad to be back up, I was getting bored doing my job

the space and bandwidth we now have will allow longer higher resolution videos, larger photos, and a whole lot more
speed should be better too
there are already a couple of bugs to fix (like the "forum" button taking you back to the wrong place) - they will get fixed over the next day or so, as well as things will get added back in, and some tweaking of colors and such
but so far, i like it!

but that's ok - we're back, and even better
i can't wait to dive in and add some really cool stuff to this site - we have essentially unlimited storage space and bandwidth now, so we can do so many things that no other site will ever be capable of that i expect not too far off that there won't be much of anybody on the other sites (not that there are many there now)
i'm working on trying to figure out how to do in-car-camera live broadcasting via the web - how cool would that be?

So far, I like the way the new stuff looks. Will I end up using anymore than 10-15% of the functionality of this site? I doubt it- I am far too stoopid! But I am glad you guys keep the roof on this place, and keep it in tip-top shape for those of us who can actually do and use all this fancy tech stuff... Makes the site priceless!

new features just added:
"Last 5 Posts" - in case you haven't noticed, this automatically refreshes itself every few seconds, so you don't have to click on "View New Posts" (unless you want to see more than the last 5)
"Contact Us" button added so you can email the ADMIN
look for more cool stuff to be added soon
but just so you don't think this is all a prelude to the commercialization of the site, be assured that we have no plans to change anything in that way - no, we will not be plastering the pages with ads - no you won't be able to buy a wedding dress - no you won't get pounded about the head with amazon ads or google ads or any of that annoying stuff that looks like a bad version of the vegas strip

If it becomes necessary from a fiscal standpoint to charge an annual fee for access to the site, give a heads up. Many of us would gladly chip in to keep the Forum alive and well. Those who don't care can take a long hike off a short pier and go elsewhere.
