Just made my hotel reservation and looking forward to seeing the 968 guys and gals who cannot make Hershey due to the Easter Holiday. I should have the other 1:43 scale 968 Turbo RS Le Man version model built, painted and decaled by then. Your last event in Newtown was fantastic, sure this one will be too!

Please make your reservations before Friday...time is getting short.
While you're at it please download and send your dinner choices.
Whether we get 2 cars or 20, we wil have a blast !!!

So - what does it all mean? It means that the only dependable car that I have is the 1992 968 coupe with 360,000 km on it !!! Go figure. But I am having fun.
I will advise once I know more. Worst case is I stay elsewhere or at the same hotel at a different rate. And eat a hamburger outside the restaurant looking in through the window at all of you !! Maybe have leftovers.

The rate will definately change. There are other hotels in the area, but they do get booked between various Springtime events (Newtown Welcome Day is Sunday) and Sesame Place for the kiddies.
If you stand outside the restaurant, we'll toss you a morsel or two...
Stay in touch and we'll work it out,
Jay

We've got a spare room at our house. Around 30 minutes from Newtown (only 16-20 miles) without a lot of traffic. A few minutes more during rush hour.
If you need a place to crash, ours is Canadian-friendly!!!!

Newbie needs help.
I’d like to attend either Newtown or Hershey. Which would be the better car-trading venue?
I’m looking for a nice 968 cab, and I have to sell my near-perfect black/tan 944 cab. The only thing wrong with this car is that I can’t hang Flash’s SC on it. Hence the car swapping.
(I realize I won't be doing a lot of 944 hustling at Newtown.)
Many thanks for any input,
Paul

As for working at RS, I am CERTAIN the Pete would kick me out after about 1 minute. My repairs skills are not worthy of being given "job" status.

Not sure that either event is "best" to purchase a 968. Most of us that would attend either event are probably not interested in selling (though $75,000 might peak my interest).
If you come to Newtown you can meet Flash and Pete from RS Barn in person.
Best choice is to attend both

I agree with Jay, both events are worthwhile attending. The Hershey Swap Meet will have a corral where you could sell your 944 and then purchase a 968. However, I do not know whether any 968s will be sold at the Swap Meet this year or not. I am currently planning on attending both events.

I let the Hotel Manager that I was out of town so she gave me a bit morte time to encourage everyone to participate.
It looks like there will be a number of folks only attending one of the days, therefore, I'm thinking about having 2 fun runs, one Saturday, one Sunday.
Thoughts?
