The topic says it all. I have a blown tweeter on the driver's side door - looking for a stock replacement. Anyone do a speaker upgrade and have a stock tweeter laying around?

I'm not sure you are going to be able to find someone with this. I recently upgraded my speakers and since the tweeter is a one piece deal, there must be some cutting and such done. I used a hole-saw about the size of the stock tweeter to cut out the stock tweeter. Then I glued the new tweeter into the space where the old one came out. I would tell you that I have the tweeters but I'm pretty sure they got ruined in the process.



Have you removed the tweeter to see what you are dealing with?

I assume you mean that you separated the actual 1" silk dome tweeter from the round speaker grill assembly, and glued the replacement back into the stock 3" round speaker assembly? I need the whole assembly. The speaker wire connections for the tweeter were corroded and broke off, and the wire separated from the tweeter to the point that it is unusable.

If you are still looking for a stock tweeter, I have one. I replaced the door panel in my last 968 and ended up with an extra tweeter. Let me know if you still need it. I just removed it from the door panel and it looks mint.

Thanks Charlie. But I'm a week too late. Ended up ordering one from Sunset - can you believe only $13? I can't even find replacement wipers for that price! Anyway, I received the tweeter from Sunset; easy install and it works fine. But thanks for the offer.
