I'd have to dig through some paper files to find the exact receipt since I don't have a separate line item entry on my spreadsheet, but I seem to recall 106.00 being the price when I got mine from Sunset, but 80.00 is close enough. I need to get another one for the Coupe so I guess I'll find out soon enough. They are usually in stock. Putting them in requires removal of the front bumper cover.

Does anybody still manufacture stainless steel screen inserts to replace the OEM plastic jobs? Bob Blackwell has a sweet looking set on his car.

I still have a new one that I got from Griemann. I was waiting for my orig one to get unbearable before installing it.
I'll sell it for a SC down payment.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I have one of the metal lower grills on the car - Greimann version. There is one disadvantage which is they don't rebound. The OEM grille flexes, like the bumper cover itself. Yes, I know, my driving isn't consistent with many others here, wish I had a 2nd pristine 968. But it is a real daily driver, and once in a while I hit a steep ramp, or last time it was very dark, I was in a hurry, and the curb at the parking space was high - yes I wasn't careful enough. End result, the metal grille bends, doesn't rebound, only recourse is to pull the batwing, remove the bumper cover, unscrew the whole grille, pound it straight (gently with padding), reassemble it all. BTDT. The doster version Bob mentions may not have this problem. I am in the market for an OEM grille also, since my metal one is bent, last time I plan to remove the bumper cover ah-gin, just to straighten a grille.
