Joe, are yours faded or distorted by years of heat? If the latter, they can be straightened pretty effectively with judicious use of a heat gun.

The cab A-pillar covers are much wider than the coupes

CABRIO Part numbers are as follows:

941.555.053.10 - Left
941.555.054.10 - Right

they are line item 6 on the "linings" page in PET

rxter, mine are sun warped too and I've heard/seen that a piece of wood and a heat gun may work, but I haven't tried that yet. I think flash was referring to getting them recovered. There is no frame...they are all one piece of molded plastic or something or other. I'm thinking maybe straighten them with heat and then use SEM vinyl paint to spruce 'em up if necessary. Mine are black but according to PET, they were available in Marine Blue. The screw covers in Marine Blue are NLA, and I have no way on knowing if my A-pillars were originally marine blue. At least my new black screw covers match the black A-Pillar covers!

Thanks for all the ideas gents. I'll try the heat gun thing, but I am dubious as to its effectiveness based on what little I know about plastics chemisty - once that polymer breaks down its a b$%^ch to force it back to what it was.

the covering i am referring to is the black vinyl that is bonded to the plastic - from memory and recent removal (where i caused the mark on them) that's how mine are anyway - i'll check on that today

Yes- the pillars are plastic or some other substrate covered in vinyl (or leather I suppose if you or the original owner paid for it!). The passenger side in my cab is peeling a little in a 2" section. I plan to remove it, apply some industrial strength adhesive, probably something from 3M, and then using medium sized office binder clips to hold the vinyl in place while the glue dries.

Did this with the rear header panel (right in front of the rear hatch in a coupe) in my 944S2. Worked like a charm. I let it sit for about 4-5 days so the adhesive could cure.
