Windstop
#1

I am looking for a windstop used on the 944 or 968 cab. Please let me know if you have one for sale or know of where I can purchase from. Porsche is not an option as part would not be available until Sept 2016.

Thanks

Did you try Sunset?

My wife and I bought one as a mutual anniversary gift a few years ago, it does wonders to quiet the "squeak in the passenger seat"

these are currently out of stock. they won't make them before 2016, unless a demand pops up. unfortunately, and the price they want, and given how lame the attachment system is, i doubt enough people will step up before then.

makes me wonder if i should come up with one or not. the issue would be the mold cost. if i were to try to bring down the price point, it would probably require 20 units to pay for the mold. not sure i want to do that. that's why i never did it, but i also never thought they would go out of stock.

I have to believe that you could produce something as good as Porsche for $400+.

My Rx-7 had a piece that was built in behind the seats and simply lifted into place when the top was down.

I'd be interested if it worked more conveniently than the Porsche one. I have the windscreen, but it's so inconvienent that I never use it unless my wife is in the car and it's one of those rare occasions when she lets me put the top down.

depends on when you check for used. once in a rare while they pop up, but never at a wrecker. ebay and such.

I had been checking around the world on this for 4 or 5 months without success. One did PO here on the web site but was snatched up in a heart beat. I finally went to Porsche and ordered it but have now cancelled after being advised of extended delay (2years) in delivery.

Should one of our brothers/sisters decide to sell theirs at a reasonable price then I am interested.

Flash...if you get enough intrest and do go into production, I will commit to purchasing one (up to Porsche price) but ask that the attachment mechanism also be configured to work with your chassis brace.
