My newly purchased 92 cab / midnight blue has gold 968 on the trunk ? ? Is this correct or ??

I've never seen any color other than stock black...it is a matte finish. The paint tends to wear off over time and I hope to repaint mine, but it is low on the priority right now. I'm trying to devise a way to mark/measure the proper location so I can re-attach the numbers after a repaint.

the only two colors i've seen are the OEM Flat Black "968", and there is also a flat Silver/greay "968" badge i've seen before. i don't recall where they sell them though.
