Why wont my Return Key work
#1

Hi, I have a bizarre problem. When I use 968Forums on either my iPad or iPhone, I have no problems at all, but when I try to use 968Forums on my computer, something strange happens - my return key does not work. It is only in 968Forums that the Return key does not work. It does not matter if it is the normal Return key, or the one on the Numeric Keypad, nothing - nada, zitch, zip - no ability to do a basic carriage return and start a new line. Any suggestions - am I the only one experiencing this? Computer is a relatively new Toshiba laptop.

Rap, I have been, but I wanted to do an update on the SC and the iPad cannot insert photos. It has just got me stuffed why the computer does not work with this site, but does for everything else.

I have the same problem on my home computer, no where else...Bob was sure it was only me...seems we need to track down a bug.

what is it that you expect it to do, other than go to the next line?

This site has a peculiar issue on my iPhone also. I have to tap twice on all links to advance onto the desired page. Seems to be unique to this site.

odd

do the problems persist after you clear your cookies (which must be enabled for things to work) and clear your cache?

I have both problems listed. My Return Key does not work on my computer and I have to tap twice to get a menu/selection to work on my iPad/iPhone.

At least I am not the only one and crazy.

For those with enter not working, are you using IE10?

A problem with IE 10 and the editor the forum uses, there is a fix, but for now I set it to run like it's IE9.

I have a new problem...

After I read a post, the menu doesn't show that the topic has been read (unbolds?)

that sounds like either a cookies or cache problem. are you just hitting the back button, or actually refreshing the index page?

that won't always work, especially on explorer. i've seen that one intermittently fail to recognize threads as read for years. if i hit the refresh though, it shows correctly.
