When I was visiting my brother in Florence, I was out on a walk and I heard a bid American V-8 rumble with a lumpy idle. Just as I was approaching the side street where the engine noise was coming from, a 427 Shelby Cobra replica appeared and attempted to pull out on to the main street. Couldn't do it without driving up over the curb in front of him, just clearing a stone wall, by no more than an inch or two.

Yeah, those Cobras do have a wide frame but also exaggerated outward wheel fenders .   And I’ve seen some replicas with even wider bodies .  The owner of the shop where I have my Maserati serviced has a passion for those cars, and works on both originals and replicas for customers, so when I’m there there are at least three or four of them in at any given time .  That’s the only other brand he works on besides Ferraris , Maseratis, and Lamborghinis, or Paganis.

As we’ve seen sooooo many times,  money does not buy common sense .
