[quote name='Bob Kovacs' date='Jul 12 2006, 06:25 AM']I got magnetic moldings after getting a doozy of a ding in a parking lot. These magnetic moldings may not be the prettiest but I love 'em.

Where can I find these magnetic moldings?

[quote name='Renalicious' date='Jul 12 2006, 04:44 PM']I'm worried about trashing my airbox by trying that air-box mod, mainly cause I don't trust my own ability to do stuff like that <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
However, the first actual "mod" I did, was Iridium plugs, and new red wires from Paragon. Although I'm sure that's more maintenance than a mod lol

Airbox mod is nothing to worry about. The hole saw bit, which you get at Home
Depot, cuts through that plastic like nothing. Just keep that drill spinning
until you are all the way through. The only problem you could have is if
you hesitate, and slow the drill speed down while making the cut. This will
cause the bit to grab the plastic and bind. This you do not want. When you
are done, and the paper filter is replaced with the K&N, you won't believe
that it could be that easy (and cheap) to get more hp. Good luck!

[quote name='Bob Kovacs' date='Jul 18 2006, 07:15 AM']Sorry, somehow I missed this post until now. I will look at home and get the info. I'm pretty sure I got these from an ad in Excellence but that would have been more than five years ago.
I love these magnetic moldings. They're easy to take off when I wax the car, easy to clean and they stick with absolutely no problem. And they are beefy enough to have saved me from numerous door dings.
