Very well sorted low mileage cab for sale.
It is #1,511 of 2,008 North American 968 cabriolets
It is #490 of 681 1994 NA 968 cabriolets
It is 1 of 349 P5 Grand Prix White cabriolets (3rd most popular color on cab) (Car was resprayed by a Porsche dealer before my purchase.)
It is 1 of 5 P5 Grand Prix White cabriolets paired with a Chestnut Brown top and a Chestnut Brown interior
Factory options include partial leather in Chestnut Brown (code BM), painted crest center caps (code XD4), full power driver’s seat (code 437), hi-fi sound speakers (code 490)
Car is silver with chestnut brown top and interior. One of five cabs and six coupes with this interior.
Car was repainted silver by previous owner, with other service work totaling over $10K
- Engine was taken out for respray and it was hard to even find evidence it was done. All work was done at a Porsche garage. Previous service done and clutch was replaced at 30,000 miles.
I bought the car several years ago (4/2013) from the widow of a friend who passed away. The car sat for 5 years in his garage with only 44K on the odo. I was told something broke and he parked the car.

Fuel tank drained, cleaned, flushed - all fuel lines purged.
Clutch reservoir drained, cleaned, flushed, all lines purged
Brake reservoir drained, cleaned, flushed, all lines purged
New Michelin Pilot Sport AS+ tires - Tires timed out - only 4 k on them
Euro Turn signal lenses - original bumperettes stored
Black emergency flasher switch swapped - original red switch stored
Brand new shift knob - $230 from Porsche Germany
Transaxle rebuilt - $2700
All top end maintenance done - Drive belt, tensioner, timing belt, coolant pump, fuel filter, new plugs, battery, DME relay, oil filter, v-belts changed.
Odometer gear rebuilt
Cam cover seals & Gasket
DR-1 Strut tower, firewall & castor braces added
Fuel sender replaced
Pollen filters replaced
Engine bay light replaced
Accelerator and Cruise cables replaced
Fuel door stop replaced
All top end rubber radiator, water hoses, coolant hoses, and heater hoses replaced - $1184.00
Third brake light lamps replaced
Passenger door handle innards replaced
Voltage regulator replaced
Battery cables new - originals stored
Battery replaced
Headlight motor replaced last year with used unit - original stored
Comes with Cogin bra, bought used - never installed
Comes with battery tender
Comes with mini 968 in case
Comes with dealer poster framed
I also will toss in some Porsche 968 books I have.
Car top is stuck in lowered position from sitting and ac needs recharged. Had appointment to fix both but mechanic got busy - waiting for new app't. I have several cans of R12 to recharge ac once it's determined no leaks.
I don't have time to drive the car and have too many toys - probably going to lose my business over this covid-19 virus, so need to raise some cash.
Car still just under 50K on odometer.
I have 17 grand invested in car and it's resurrection. I would like to get that, as I have really only driven it around 4 thousand miles, but I will entertain any serious offers. It's going to get too hot again as summer is here and I know I won't be driving it due to the heat. The thought of driving a convertible with the top up just doesn't appeal to me. It's agreed value insured for 25K
I have all service records for the car from my friend who owned it before me and for everything I have done to the car.
Car is in central Florida on east cost by NASA.
