Well folks....
#1

It was time to move on.

My cab has gone to a better place.

It's been quite a few years since I have been without a 968!

Chances are good I will wander back to Porsche ownership sometime in the future... Certainly if the right coupe pops up, that might happen sooner than later! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/beer.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

In the meantime, it's been fun! Take care!

Say it ain't so. What about all those good times we had just cruising around getting curious and jealous looks because no one could figure out what I was. How about all that extra money I cost you in repairs. Tell me, didn't that mean something to you? Or how about all those times when we just threw caution to the wind and just enjoyed ourselves without a care in the world. How about all the oil you painstakingly feed me when I was thirsty? How could you forget those times? I thought I meant something. Guess I'm just anther tired old gal being pushed out. Lol. With all due respect that was your heartbroken 968 talking to you! Say hay once in a while.

If you score the BMW you are looking for, give me a shout we can meet up for a drive and perhaps swaps cars for a spell.

Best of luck, you will always be a 968er,

Jay

Jim, sad to hear, but you'll always be one of us. Stay in touch here, and maybe we'll help you see the light once again in the future when you'll get the next 968. In the meantime, all the best !

Jim,

There is still a Speed Yellow 968 in Bucks County. It just happens to be an TS/RS

Is that the coupe you are looking for?

Aww, you all really know how to make a guy blush!!

The cab is in a cozy new home, complete with three relatives:

993 targa in pastel (maybe summer, not sure) yellow (I tried to get an even-up trade for it, no dice!)

Boxtser in speed yellow

944 in summer yellow

All are in mint to near mint condition with low mileage. New owner is very happy with the 968.

I'll be lurking for a long time to come. I still find the 968 to be a fascinating and wonderful car - just not for me at the moment. I also learned I am not a cab guy at all. At least I got it out of my system and now I know the closest I would come to a cab again would be a targa...

Pete-

Isn't that TS/RS missing a few of the interior bits?!!!!!!

If your using the word targa in reference to the 968, I would suggest taking the roof on and off a few times! As wonderful as they are off, I think most owners would attest that they are a royal pain. Of course easier with two people! That said they are cool off on a sunny day.
