I always get a kick, when I am driving home from work on the freeway in my white coupe, when a couple of kids will drive by in Hondas or Cavaliers with big mufflers and lots of flares and will stick their heads out the window to look, followed immediately by a quick jerk on the wheel to avoid running into something. These cars do get a lot of looks and I always enjoy that. But the BIGGEST kick is mine when I look back after parking it and still think that it looks just great.

PS - Two years for me on this forum on Thursday. Its been a blast and I do thank all of you who have provided me with help and advice. It's never been worth less than I paid for it and, mostly, been worth a lot more. I'm not mechanically inclined and have needed a lot "encouragement", especially with my white car. Thanks to all.

Over the weekend - an old lady comes up to me and my girlfriend in the paking lot as we were about to get into the car.

She takes my girlfriend by the arm and says, "When I was young, every girl wanted to find a guy with a red convertible."

We were both flattered!

I generally get a lot of questions if this is 928 or not, even the people who know abit of cars don't figure out it is not 928.

That's true - The year model is also a funny thing. Many think that this is from the 21th century, and after telling the model has been in production btw. 92-95, they say "no way!". It's nice that some cars - like 968 - keep up their design so well. well, porsches generally does not have this problem, to be outdated, designwise.

When I was younger, i was a totally porschefan already then, but didn't like so much the looks of 968 - it somehow didn't look like a real porsche to me back then. I was too into 911. But nowadays, I think it has a really cool lines and form. Just some years was needed to catch up the design idea of porsche with 968. Way better looking than 928, I think: Enough small and compact car, and a beautiful front end. the back "could" be better looking (especially the rear window), but coulnd't figure out better design by myself yet. Don't like the strosek design for 968 back so much as the original.. it's the best as it is.

When I was young, I couldn't afford a 968. Life is cruel......

my best 968 moment so far, I was on the Oakland bay bridge in the middle of the night, and I drove past a limo. As I was driving past this chick leaned out the window and waved at me. So I slowed down and let the pass, then gunned it and shot by at . . . a significantly higher speed.

I didn't get a real look but in my imagination, she was gorgeous.
