#1

Looking for a 968 timing belt tensioner, part number 944 105 074 06. I only need the metal part without the roller. I have one that is missing the small white pad :-(

Thanks flash, that's a great (pragmatic) idea. The only problem is that I have no clue where to get this material here in the Netherlands... I will start looking around.

DuPont makes that stuff. Delrin is actually a brand name. Dupont has a Dutch (and also a Belgian) facility. Sometimes these have shops attached to them. In any case I would try to contact them for more info.

I've been able to locate a webshop that sells the stuff. Is it just a matter of gluing it onto the tensioner assembly? If so, what type of adhesive can be used for this purpose?

actually, there is always pressure against it. if you cut it to be a snug fit, there is no reason to think it can get out of there. you could use a high temp epoxy though, just for safety. i can't remember if we did or not.
