Vancouver get together
#1

I am taking off to LA this weekend to install my SC and will be passing through Vancouver on May 21st. Plans are to stop at Langley968's (Jake) house for a post lunch OooooAhhhh and maybe some test drives before I head for the ferry. I will post my trips progress and try to firm up an arrival time later next week. If it's OK with Jake maybe the local 968's could PM him and he can organize a place we could meet to admire Flash's handiwork?

I would be interested in that. Keep me posted, as I usually work Saturdays in Burnaby, but would like to see the toy.

Looking forward to your return!

I will send some emails out and see if we can round up some more 968's. I have a feeling some of the local 944 and 928 guys would also be interested, so I may post a thread on the local P-site.

Any WA 968 owners interested in a trip "up north" that day? Hint, hint...

Finally got to hit the road, 1 day late after some complications. Will be skipping a bit of the CA coast line to make up time. Weather hasn't been all that great in the mornings (rain) so we will boogie to Grants Pass and beyond tomorrow. Should still be in Langley by Sat afternoon no problem. Jake, I will go straight to your house (but call first) so at least I have a destination for my GPS

I've got VC on my list of must sees. Dave did I miss your trip to SoCal?

You missed the fun (?) at Flashs. Brian (BVA) came down for the day and we did my install. I got the only Rotrex that had a fault so it took us an extra day to sort things out. Sure glad I drove down so Bob was right there when it went south.

I saw first hand Bob's workmanship on the Super Charger in Dave's car (OK- Dave & son apparently "helped" along)!

It looks "stock", which is a good thing. When Dave showed up at my place on Saturday, I called my son to come over (he lives only a few blocks away) and he also was impressed with how "clean" it looked. Now I have to put up with my son bugging me: "You want one, right Dad"!

I need to remember where I put my camera after Dave left, so I can post a picture or two of Dave's visit.

Dave, I will see you again this weekend (along with Darlene). Room is booked for Friday night at Black Rock in Ucluelet (Vancouver Island Porsche meet happening there). I am not registered for the event, but I did get the "Porsche rate" for the room! It is a whopping 45% discount from the "best rate" they would normally give! Can't complain about that for a "Happy Birthday to me" present!

Excellent! I will be there tomorrow with a trailer full of supplies and food in prep for the real drive. Going there in an F350 diesel /trailer is not exactly a "fun run"
