I find myself in need of a way to limit my car's speed when it is being driven by "others", specifically some shop personnel and the occasional valet.

I don't have an aftermarket alarm installed on my car and without that advantage, I need to know if anyone is aware of what, if anything, I can do to accomplish my speed-limiting venture.

I'd install an alarm system if one is superior to another when installed on a 968, but so far, I haven't found that "perfect" system. Hopefully one of you has some insight.

All alarm system recommendations are eagerly welcomed as are any tips and tricks.

One possible solution would be a 2 mode DME chip, [normal & valet modes]. In valet mode the timing and rev limiter could be pulled back.
If I recall this feature is only available on some high(er) end cars...

i've seen this kind of thing offered on the web as an aftermarket item - no idea whether or not it would work for our DME or not
