Bob and I spoke about this last night.

I am very anxious to have the gallery back also, but...Eric in his kindness, allowed pictures that were very large. and the price for us to host the site would literal go up 10 fold if we simply re-installed the gallery as it was. Bob is willing to work very hard to re-size the pictures, but it is a manual and time consuming project.

The new software upgrade (hopefully within the next week) will automatically re-size photos (and get rid of the huge right side banner problem) and we will take it from there.

Thanks to everyone for your comments and support. This is an evolving process, and we are building this site for future 968ers.

Bob, Pete and I consider ourselves stewards of this site, moreso than owners, much the same as our interest in our 968s.

Being a part of this community has given me (almost <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) as much pleasure as the Porsche itself.

Regards,

Jay

Couldn't agree more. I feel like I have an obligation to make sure that the car is better when I am done with it than when I started.

Maybe we could all send new pictures that are smaller files.

Perhaps someone could explain the procedure for some of us "more mature" users. I don't have a clue how to make a file or picture smaller........good luck, Bob blackwell.

Here is one:

I have not used this, but it looks very simple.

Time you learn how to do it, and become a picture posting fool like some of us other losers that have nothing better to do.
