Tyre rolling radius.???
#1

Now them chaps.

What i want to know ,,,IS,,,,

I have been running a set of Dunlop D01J "E" marked tyres on track..

234/45/17 fronts + 255/40/17,s on the rear , with absolutely no probs whatsover....8" front wheels + 9" rears..

Bearing in mind the Original tyre on the front should be 225/45/17...

SO.

If i was to change to the 235/40/17 front [ as i cant now get the 45 profile] with the same rears, will the ABS braking sensors get confused when braking hard, and throw up a abs light on the dash.......

As the rolling radius will change....

I had read somewhere, maybee on here many moons ago that this might happen....

I shall thow it open to you "racers" amongst us.......

no - you should be fine - there is something like a 6% margin allowable before the ABS goes nuts
