I check Ebay.de from time to time... Anyways I found this a used Turbo S wing. I am not sure if it is authentic. It appears to be.

$960.00USD sounds like a great deal!



3 more teiliger and several times adjustable tail spoiler of 968 turbo S Note! completely with border set, 3-tlg. (shrouded-type panels around the back window) this are absolutely needed, otherwise the disk framing and the whole are missing look tinkered. Screwed on to the fastening spots of the rubber tail lip, the borders will become with disk adhesive glued on. The part is again and cleanly finished (no foreign manufacturing!) and must be painted still in car color. The original price is with eur 1,500, - + eur 800.-Leisten The wing fits also on 944 and 924er.

Good find. I don't believe it is a factory piece though. You would think he would mention it, if it was. It does look real close.



The factory wing I have and the others I have seen have the metal brackets between the pieces anodized black (like the picture showing the wing on the car), but these are silver. The factory wing came in grey primer, just like the splitters. This appears to be white unfinished. Worth asking the seller about, if someone is interested.

I've resurected this post as I really quite like the idea of the turbo style rear spoiler.
However, it will be a large outlay (if I can find one) so I need to know if this is an straightforward DIY task or should I budget for getting it fitted?
I am also interested in your opinions of making such a mod purely for the aesthetics.

I can't speak to the aftermarket ones, but the factory TS wing mounts the same as the standard rear wing. It is bolt out/bolt in.

AIR parts are for racing applications. I have an AIR Carbon Fiber Turbo S replica spoiler on my car. I had to sand it down to make it smooth and had a little issue aligning it properly. Took some work to make it presentable, but it looks awesome now and i have recieved many compliments.

I dont remember, it was either $1000 or $1200 for the CF rear spoiler. They still make CF parts, it is by request. Keep in mind that these parts are for racing applications and are not show quality.

I color coded the side pieces of my spoiler and clear coated the adjustable bridge (ala Mitsubishi Evo). To get it to look good, i had to paint the edges of the bridge (where the CF was molded together) a dark grey and the clear coat & wet sand it. iirc i spent around $1,500 total including the parts and labor to get it to look the way i wanted it. So it wasn't cheap, but i am very pleased with the end result. I also have a Carbon Fiber front splitter i bought from AIR.

Here is a link to a thread i did on the pieces after a few members from rennlist started spreading rumors that the parts on my car were not 100% carbon fiber (right after the 968 Hershey Parade)

Off to have a look at a turbo spoiler this weekend. If the price is right I may go for it. Hopefullthe guy who has it can give me the pros and cons of fitting it. Even if I don't buy it, I at least get to meet someone off the UK forum so its definitely worh the trip

i had to stare at this for a minute - i knew something was different, but couldn't put my finger on it - it's not like you see these every day - then i looked at some shots of some original RS wings

what's up with those extended adjuster/connecting plates?

The adjusters are just fibreglass. This is just one of the reasons why the van zweeden wing is much cheaper than others. Unfortunately I don't have the skills to cut of the extensions and replace them with an alloy or stainless steel plate.
Since taking the photos I have lifted the wing higher so it doesn't look as bad (but still not great). Come the spring I'll try and tidy it up some.
