Daily Driver - help me choose
#41

968Z - I did test drive a 2006 Saab 93 Aero, and it was a "rocket" (~250 HP!).

Sadly, that unit had been abused by the previous owner, so I did not want the headache!

I bought a 2006 93 2.0T with a 5-speed manual gear-box (turbo w/~210 HP) and it will do just fine as a daily driver. I worry about getting some speeding tickets in 2011 with this car if I do not learn to apply some self-control (the turbo boost is just too much fun), was NOT a problem with the Camry!.

With regrads to your comment on the pricing of parts, have you checked out this site:

www.thesaabsite.com

Seems like a good place to get tech info and reasonable pricing for parts!

I absolutely HATE the BF Goodrich Traction T/A tires on the car. They are VERY noisy. Anyone else have experience with these tires?

Congratulations on your Aero! They are great looking and driving cars. I've owned several older Saabs and enjoyed all of them, plus the gas mileage was always outstanding. The only issue I had is that there always seemed to be something breaking on the cars. Nothing major, just a constant need of attention. I hope the newer models hold up better.
