Toronto checking in
#1

WillC signing in from Toronto to say hello. I’ve got a ’94 coup that I’ve been driving for ten years. It’s still a great performer. There’s 122K kms on the clock, I go through about a litre of oil about every 4K, and so far I haven’t had any real wallet-draining issues. So I’m definitely still feeling the love!

The car is absolutely stock - why mess with a modern classic - but I know it’s time for me to do some upgrading. I thought I’d begin with a simple replacement of the old cassette stereo, but who knew finding something with great sound and a design compatible with our understated German interiors would be such a challenge? Most of the head units I’ve checked into have displays that look like the Vegas skyline. Even finding an iphone holder is difficult. They all seem so clunky. (I’m leaning towards ProClip if it actually fits our vents). Anyway, it will all be good. I’m looking forward to browsing through the forums to see what everyone else is doing to keep these excellent cars up to date. Chat soon.

Welcome! Throw caution to the wind, dive in and do a double-DIN stereo/NAV unit, and hollow out the ashtray for your iPhone.
