Not sure if this image is attaching--preview not working, but in the pics, I'm in the orange hat.

I was standing next to one today, but decided not to sit in it. I did sit in the 997 cabriolet - not only was that sweet, but even tempting. Ah, if my company ever gets straightened out and I can take a bonus...

i know most people will think i'm nuts (not that they don't already) but i don't really like that car - maybe if they painted the carbon fiber stuff and de-blinged it a bit, but even with all that crazy horsepower and everything, it is still heavier than i would like - i'm sure it's a blast to drive, but practicality is zero - no place to put the golf clubs, and most importantly to me, it's something about the feel of a light car flying through esses that just thrills me - i think i will actually like driving the 968 better than that car if i can get it up to 350hp and down to about 2700lbs (do-able, but with some pretty significant sound sacrifices)

before slagging me, please note i said you'd think i was nuts

I personally prefer the design of other models as well, but when you sit in it...wow. I was at a local PCA tech meeting, and they had models through the years from the 356-current, on the racks discussing design and technology from beginning to end. As a finale, they drove this into the shop unexpectedly. Lots of fun. It's okay to be nuts, Flash!

I was talking to my OPC service manager about the GT. He's driven two of them, and he says that the overused phrase of "corners like it's on rails" really applies. Also overwhelming power. That said, though, we both agreed that the look is way over the top, so you have to recognize that it really is a race car that can be driven on the street. They've sold one - to a guy that flew in from Michigan on his private jet, then drove the GT back. The second one is in the showroom, and may be for who knows how long. If I were buying a new Pcar, it'd be the 997 cab.

You are nuts but that is a different story... The CGT is an amazing piece of machinery and street legal! The engine on that thing is just exhilarating. download this video and listen to the CGT scream. The CGT in this video belongs to BeninLJ he is a member at 6speed and Rennlist he also has a Cayenne Turbo and a Ferrari Stradale. He parks all three cars in his amazing house overlooking the LaJolla cove. Must be nice! If I had that kind of money I would without a doubt have one in my Garage!

From looking at that photo it looks like a Toyota Spider coupe with over sized brakes.

IMHO

There was a GT at my local dealer and the suspension was so stiff the first time they took it out they cracked the front windshield and had to replace it.
