Saw the latest Bond yesterday ( liked it a lot, btw... with one exception ) I hope the DB S crash was either

computer F/X, or it was a scale model they trashed. I swear, if they destoyed what ( IMHO ) is the most beautiful vehicle in the history of car design, I will personally seek out the producers and take a sledge hammer to their cars..

Hey, they could have just donated that car to a needy person ( ME ! ) and mangle some BMW, or Jag, or who cares what else... ok, not a Porsche, but you know what I mean ..

I also saw the movie and agree w/ you 100%. Best 007 in a long time.

It’s a very different Bond film, as it’s more realistic. The focus is more on brawn then gadgets and it works well. In past films, Bond hits the bad guy w/ a one two and he’s out. He would run through a slew of baddies in that fashion leading up to the main guy, Jaws, odd job or who ever. Not the case in Casino Royale! You’ve never seen Bond w/ so many cuts and bruises. Every fight was great.

I look fwd to seeing them continue to develop this more realistic 00 agent.

I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

They probably crashed more than one.

It's nice to see Bond back in an Aston Martin.

Remember the early Bond films with Sean Connery, those were

beautiful Aston Martin cars as well.

I'll probably see it Thanksgiving weekend.

Agreed, one of the best Bond films in recent memory.

Noted A LOT of product placement. For example, "Ford" products were front and center the entire film (e.g., the blue Ford oval was easy to spot on cabs and background cars). Furthermore, as Ford owns Jaguar and Astin Martin, film-goers got an eyefull of Jaguars and Astin Martins throughout the flick.

Also, Sony was a heavy advertiser with notebook computers and pocket cameras. As a "tie-in," 007 fans can visit sony.com and buy commemorative editions of the products in 007 attache cases!!!!

The vintage silver Astin from the Sean Connery days was a real treat. That said, the full black suede interior with deviated stitching on the new DB was in a word "sumptuous!!!"

Porsche
