TEMPTING FATE
#1

Drove my son Chris to a shopping centre on Friday, while stuck in heavy slow moving traffic (is there any other kind) I commented that beyond my sightline where the front of the bonnet dips out of sight, that there is about another 15inches of car still. So being careful in close traffic is important. Fast forward half an hour later, I'm parked sitting in the car at a corner space in a shopping centre waiting for Chris and a women driver pulls round my car to drive off and demolishes my LH side indicator and driver/fog lamp units. Doesn't stop! Got out and chased her. Did I hit your car she said! Yeah right. If I had been in the shop I would be looking at a sizeable bill now repairs. Don't park at a corner space which leads to the exit. And don't talk about it either!

Is it legal in Scotland to beat the offender with a cricket bat? It should be...

Make sure that her insurance restores your 968 to Museum Quality.

Sad day.

Cricket bats are dodgey with Comonwealth law but that's why all bottles of single malt come with a handle! I recommend a good, smoky Laphroaig for this occation, Talisker is too expensive for a corner ding.

Andy:

Carry a 9 iron or a 3 wood at all times. Handle or not, any good single malt would at least cure YOUR pain after confronting her.

Good luck with the repairs--parts are available, but a decent paint match can be a bitch

"Did I hit your car she said!"

See that? Right then you know the type of person your dealing with.

I know of a guy who was rear ended at an intersection. He got out to exchange info with the guy. The driver refused to show him his license or insurance card. He would only read it to him. The guy (victim) called the police but the offender drove off before the cop showed up. Turns out the guy gave fake info. Thankfully the victim had the tag make and model.

I hope all goes well with your repairs and glad you were able to catch up with the culprit, otherwise she woulda been long gone.

I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!
