Tom,
I'd check the option codes re: "full leather". My '92 cab has tufted sections above the arm rest and an extra single layer leather piece covering on the armrest iteself. I think this was the stock leather interior package...ask Jeff about "full leather"!
As for the sagging, I'm guessing you're referring to the alignment of the top section to the air vent? If so, yes, that's not right, but it's hard to tell how/why from the picture.
Here's a shot of my leather door during my speaker upgrade/install.

Yes, there should be a code for the 10 speaker hi-fi option...490 and 454 IIRC.

The round thing should be a tweeter..it is on my car, but it was changed out to an aftermarket unit. I have the grey interior and my door tops were discolored so I had just the tops re-done and they look great. It cost me around $100 per panel to have them done.
and yes, partial leather was standard - the parts that were leather in that package were the seating surfaces (but not the surrounds and backs), the shifter boot, and the steering wheel - the rest was vinyl
Bob,
I disagree. Partial leather was an option ($668 in 92/93, $682 in 94/95). Almost every 968 had partial leather but it was still an option. Standard were the cloth (inserts). Standard leather parts were the shifter, boot, and steering wheel rim as you mentioned.
As for the full leather car ($4190 in 1992 on a cab), you got seats fully wrapped in leather, door handle pulls only on the door, full lower dash including glove box, console sides and lid, and the e-brake handle is fully covered in leather with stitching in matching color.
As I mentioned before, there were 95 different interiors offered (material/color) on the north american 968s during its 4 year run!!! No wonder they weren't making money.
this one is semantics
i don't think the partial leather, while listed as an "option" was anything but standard - i think you actually had to order a deletion of the leather to get cloth - this is one of those "options" that all of the cars came with, and you had to pay for whether you liked it or not - in my book, if you had to do something special to get rid of a feature that is in all of the cars, then it is standard
the stereo would be another good example - they all came with something, even though it was an "option"
Well, we'll have to agree to disagree.
All 968s came with exterior paint applied. If you ordered black, which was a STANDARD paint color, it is listed with a price of N/C (no charge). If you got the OPTIONAL midnight blue metallic it was listed with a cost of $803 (in 92).
You mention the stereo, am/fm cassette was standard (code 331) and is listed on every sticker of a car equipped with one and a price of N/C.
Partial leather IS listed as well but this one has a price attached to it. To me, that makes it an option since a cloth interior car would say N/C.
The partial leather was a cheap way for Porsche to offer the dealers a way of saying the car had leather seats for only $668 added to the sticker total. That is why almost every 968 has partial leather but that doesn't change the fact that it is an option. Options have a price attached to them. Standard features have a price of N/C. IMHO.

Sure, Great. Now, you just need to join the Porsche club (

Just to confirm, here is a photo of the dealer sales book which shows cloth as the Standard bucket seat interior (s) and partial leather as Optional (o).
