Purchased a set of twists and ready to fit them with some Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs
Front: 7.5JX18, offset: 50mm. Porsche PN# 993.362.134.06. Tire size: 225/40/18.
Rear: 9JX18, offset: 52mm. Porsche PN# 993.362.138.01. Tire size: 265/40/18.
I would like to go 40 instead of 35 to add a little more cushion as I've heard the ride on 18s can be a little harsh. Does anyone for see any issues with rubbing? I believe I can also go 275.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

i went from 285-30-18 to 275-35-18 , I miss the fat rubber on the back but the 275s do ride smoother if the 275-35 will fit
with that offset it might be something to consider.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Carefull in the city David, I had 3 or 4 flats in couple months of each other in B-more.
Although, I had 285/30's. Never had a problem with the fronts.
I would try and get the most sidewall you can.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
After a lot of tire rack reading. I back to going with 275 35. The car should behave more natrual with that set up seeing that the diameter is the same.
Not surprised about the flats. Coming down Russel is like driving on a safari these days, and back near the greyhound station.. Better get a H2

I'm going 35/265 instead of 275 do to weight. I know it only adds a little but I figure whats that little bit of rubber going to do for me when Im already packing a 265 width and my driving is purely recreational.
