My new radar detector manual specifically states that some Porsches' windshields have a "soft anti-lacerative coating on the inside surface" and that the suction cups that hold the radar detector in place "will permanently mar this coating"



Is a '92 968 one of these porsches?

My '95 has had a GPS suction cupped to the windshield without any damage when I removed it for the dash installed NAV system.
