Wahoo!

I just was invited today by Porsche of Halifax to be their representative for Atlantic Canada at a 2 day Porsche Canada event in Niagara Falls next month, all expenses paid. Get to drive new cars and have a hoot! Should be a blast. I will post more details when I get them. The invite is due to arrive tomorrow.

Glad you got something for you all your business.. They must have figured you were a devoted Porsche nut after the engine overhaul. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

"devoted" and "Porsche" might not be needed to describe me adequately.

I just got back from this. It was enjoyable although, from my perspective, since I don't really ever drive hard anyway, some of the 'test" stuff didn't mean much to me. Nonetheless, that car is fabulous. All of them had the PDK transmissions and they really are good. You have a hard time, other than via sound, to tell that a gear change has occurred.

They are also fast. 385 hp in the "S" models really kicks some butt. We saw 248 km/h down the straight at the runway. And they just don't kick the tail out unless you really try hard. I have never been in a car that corners as hard as this before. I still have seatbelt bruises.

Acceleration is prodigious, especially with the launch control feature. Sort of like a slingshot, especially in the C4S since there just isn't any wheelspin. Not sure when I would use it but.....

Porsche really put on a first class event. Great wine, great food, open bar and a marvelous hotel. It was a lot of fun.

Now, instead of a Cayman S, I want a Carrera S.
