Sunshades for the 968 cab....
#1

Alright- there's a company called Cee Bailey's in Montebello, CA. They make, among other things, custom sunshades. I have them for my daily driver Jetta, my wife's Pilot, and I also had them for my 968 coupe. I no longer have the coupe so I contacted Cee Bailey's to inquire about getting a set for the cab....

They do not have a template for the cab so no can do.

I then asked if they could make a template if someone were to bring in a cab. They said yes.

So- does anyone live in or very near to Montebello, CA? And, if so, would you be willing to go there to get templates made for 968 cab-specific shades?

Please let me know as I love the Cee Bailey shades and really want a set for the cab!

Thanks in advance!

Jeezus H you-know-who....! You're fast!

The ONLY thing I don't like about the shades they sell is the big green sticker they put on each piece. Over time, the heat/sun/UV/whatever cause the edges of the sticker to curl and ultimately it falls off leaving some adhesive behind- a bit unsightly and annoying, but these shades cover so damn well I deal with it. Not terribly expensive either.

Let me know how things go - and - Thanks!

I will absolutely 100% buy a set for my cab.

They currently show an application on their site for:

Porsche 924, 944, 951 Turbo 1983 - 1989 and 968 Coupe 1990 - 1995

Is this just planning ahead?

The 968 coupe ones will not fit the 968 cab- at least the sides won't. Cab door windows are different. Front windshield ones will probably work, even though the windshields are different IIRC.

I emailed the seller and asked if they could do them for the cab and he said he had never done them and therefore didn't have a template. I then asked if he would do it if I could find someone to bring him a cab.... The rest, as they say, is history (I hope!)!
