It seems like there are lots of lookers but no one wants to reply - so I will.

For me, they seem to add a round look in an area that I don't think benefits from it. Now, if they housed real exhausts, that might make a difference - as the roundness would then be functional.

i am indifferent about these. I dont dislike them, but i dont really like them either. I was contemplating buying them because hardly anyone has them, so they add a sense of exclusivity.

They aren't that bad and with some creative ducting you could make cooling for the rear brakes from the side ports.

Where can i see more pics? I'm curious as to how much lower they are from stock.

PS- Man those rims are ugly!

The wheels are a spin-off of the coockie cutters. Strosek has a couple kits for the 968, their wide body kit & the one i pictured. The side skirts on the regular kit dont seem to be any different or lower then the standard skirts. Only main diferance is the air duct. here is another picture from the rear.

Well, they look "clunky" to me but I do like the "air intake". Doubt if the rear brakes need any more cooling air - they seem to work just fine to me. If you are driving on a track for long periods (more than twenty minutes) maybe there would be some fade. I have participated in some DE events with 20 minute track time every time we went out and never had any fade at all. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

That cab has their wide-body converion. The Skirts are molded in and had a flush look with the fenders on the wide-body.

I wondering if that rear hatch is a viable solution to the glass de-lamination issue with the current hatch. Is it available from this company and I wonder how much?

I don't know if I like them that much. They're ok, but I've never seen any reason to mess with the 968 design other than front splitters and rear wings.

if my 968 was supercharged or turbo'ed, I'd find them a bit more fitting.. can't explain why, but it makes the car too beefy for it's current HP . I'm also on the fence on this - I certainly don't hate the look but just not convinced how much of an improvement it is to our car's lines ..

Fred Opert Racing is about 1 mile from where I live. I didn't know what they did, although I have seen some apparently modified Cayennes for sale in front of their building. I'll have to learn more about them.

The one thing I do like about these panels is that they appear to be one piece which gives a slightly cleaner look. I'm currious about the cost. I think they might look better with 18" wheels.

I like it. One piece, nice neat and close to stock. Put that on a black 968, 18" Twist rims, mesh the air inlet to match the front mesh. Yeaaaa

However I Cant find any info on that site. I'm going to call and get the cost.

They quoted me $980 shipped for the Strosek Sideskirts. They are fiberglass, unpainted & they dont have holes in them unless you cut the hole out. They are indents and people paint the inside black to make it appear as if they have holes.

If anyone is interested in these, let me know if you are serious. maybe we could get a group buy going and get a discount. I was told if i wait untill spetember to order them, he would give me a 20% discount. $785.

I like them, but think the price is high. I was looking through the latest Exellence and spotted some real nice side skirts for the 911 for $400.00.

I would go $4-500 on these.

The company that used to sell these (from France) no longer does. I guess they sold the molds to these guys.

Let us know what you work out. Maybe we could dictate a price if enough people were in on the buy.

i like the idea, and if it didn't require fiberglassing onto existing panels, i might think about it - as long as it was a one piece unit, replacing the rear quarterpanel, fine, though at that point i would also reverse the concave curve on the hips

also, the duct would need to be functional

i didn't get to really look at the car at hershey - i wasn't thinking body kit at the time, and i didn't see much else going on with that car to catch my eye

i can't really see the simpler skirt in the CS shot, so i don't know how that would look

The skirts are not functional as is. But with some minor work can be made functional. Would be nice.
