Storage
#1

My 93 has been in storage the last couple of years.  Ready to get it out BUT I have the pinion bearing problem.  Anyone know of a good 968 shop in New England?  I do most of the work myself but I think this one is to much for me to handle.

Not complaining to much.  I have enjoyed the car for 18 years now so I guess its time for me to spend some on it.

Welcome back on the road!  Someone should be able point you to a good shop for that. And check everything after having it sit that long.

the gearbox is made by Getrag, so any shop that can deal with Audi, VW, gearboxes should be fine

Just be sure they have the proper alignment tool, that was the cause of the original pinion bearing issue.

not quite correct, the issue was the roberts that built the boxes put too much preload (over tightened) on the bearings

Yeah,i knew it was a bad tool that didn't install the bearing properly. I didn't remember exactly what the issue was. Thanks for clarifying.
