Stockholm calling
#1

Hi guys,

Been in the transaxle game for aprox 15 years now having owned 931, 944 Turbos, 2 996 and now currently have a 944 Turbo, 944 S2 cab and the most recent acquisition is a1993 Speed gelb CS LSD M030!

The CS has a couple of mods including H/R coilovers, big blacks, strut brace, plastic windows and hood, 996 cup steering wheel, RH 3,6 Speedlines, sport exhaust.

This winter it will get RS rear wing and front splitter.

Such a nice car this is! Fast, stuck to the ground, light and nimble and most of all YELLOW :-D!!!

Next year a lot of auto X and track days!

I also need some help fixing the S2 cab broken b-pillar syndrome and saw that this forum had some good info about this!

Best regards

/PJ

Welcome,

Enjoy the site. While we are happy to help out our older brothers this is a 968 specific forum, so all things may not apply.

Peedster welcome. You will thoroughly enjoy that aero. Add the canards. The biggest difficulty you will have, I should say I had, is to repurpose your muscle memory in corners. It takes a while before you first realize you can go faster, work at doing it and then find those boundaries. I don't know what type of tires you run but take it in small steps. You will love it!

Thanks guys, yes the CS is a hot that will be used correctly ?

Dont know if we want to go full out with canards but lip and RS wing is already in the garage waiting for paint!

First thoughts were doing a full RS copy of the exterior but weve now settled for lip and wing.

Ive also investigated a bit in aftermarket ITB system from Hayward performance in USA who have a system for the street that according to them bumps power above 300 without really any other mods except a new management.

Anyone heard or use their system?

Do you track your car?

There will be trackdays and autocross next summer yes!

We bought it after Porsche Club Sweden had the last track day unfortunately but we will start next year early, like as soon they sweep away all the sand and stones from winter roads...

Like middle of April.

So the split rims have started to get separated for new paint and semi sticky tires and the discs will be sent to be shaved.

Feels nice to start early!

Oh, will order a half cage as well and weld it together and paint yellow as well, then mount proper harness!

Why a half cage? By the grace of God when I totaled my car I hit the wall head on. I had been sliding toward it sideways. While it's a pain in the ---- you just never know when that protection is needed!
