Starting a Members album and uploading Photos

How to post your photos in the Members Gallery:



-Click on "MY CONTROLS" Nav bar located toward the top of the forum under the 968 Forums banner.

-Now your in control! all of the settings you can manage like your avatar, personal profile, Signature and Your albums can be updated here. Click on "YOUR ALBUMS" under Invision gallery.



-Click on "CREATE ALBUM"



-Give the album a title Like "Your name's 968 photos"



-Give the album a Description "Photos from the NorCal meet"



-Check the box to make the album public so everyone can see the album displayed in the 968 Forums Gallery under "Members Gallery"



-Click the Create album button. The next screen will take you back to the Your Albums main area. If you have multiple albums they can be managed here. Pick the album you want to manage. You can Edit, delete, view and upload image. You want to select "Upload image" from the pull down menu adjacent to the album title. When you pull down the menu and select "Upload image" the browser will take you to the upload page automatically.



-Give the image a caption and description (OPTIONAL) if you do not give it a caption it will use the file name as the caption.



-On the bottom of the screen you will see "image to upload" followed by a long box, followed by a "browse" button. Click the browse button a windows box will pop up. Find the file you want to upload in on your hard drive where ever you have stored it. click the OPEN button on the windows screen once you have found the file.



-Next click post Image and your done!



-You can follow the posting image process over and over again to add images to your album, or create additional albums!

Since the pictures are restricted to 250KB and 1024x768 resolution you may need to resize your pics before you upload them. A great free windows program called PhotoFiltre can be found by Clicking Here . It's a 1.6MB download but for free it is a nice utility for resizing your pictures as well as manipulating other aspects.

The creator has some other nice photo programs with more info found at the main page www.PhotFiltre.com

due to disk space limitations at the server, for the time being, individual post size limitations have now been set at 200k max per post



please size your photos to 800 x 600, and set the file size to below 200k

Someone please upload a couple of pics. I am tired of looking at Frank's car on the banner, even if the photos are most excellent.
