Bluetooth
#1

What do folks use for Bluetooth devices? I have tried the one in my Sony NAV but nobody can ever hear me(although I can hear them well). I tried a Motorola thing that clips on the visor but it seems like I have to yell at it. The only thing that works is my ear piece. But I have seen some sort of rear mirror "kit" that might work. Ideas?

it's all about the microphone - placement is everything - avoid putting it where there is other noise (like near a vent or a window) also try to place it so that it is not more than a foot away from your mouth

many systems also have a gain control on the mic, so you might be able to increase that level

I use the Blue Ant 3 clips to the visor, and has a built in speaker, works great.

I have bluetooth integrated with my Becker Indianopolis pro. I have the microphone sitting right above the steering wheel and below the Instrument cluster on the black trim piece.

My mic is wire up the pillar and peeks out of the left side of the sun visor where it hides very well in the shadows up there (now that's a bad sentence); low background noise and close to your mouth. I have a Pioneer P9800 which seems to work well.
