Some Surprise Repairs on my 968
#1

I just got the 1995 coupe back from the mechanic today after a long repair list was done. I originally took it in as the A/C compressor (new compressor and dryer) had cracked where the upper adjusting bolt went thru. As It cracked the A/C belt came off taking out a chunk of the upper radiator hose 94410623911 $83 as well as the power steering belt. Those were not the surprise repairs.

A power Steering tension rod had cracked and was fixed by welding it.

There was a sleeve missing to the power steering mount missing, fabricated a new one.

The cruise control was not working. It turned out to be a faulty The clutch pedal switch which was replaced 9446134300 $25

These cars are getting old.

At least these were pretty minor $ repairs. All cars wear out, and staying ahead of the failures can keep the bills reasonable. Good job. I try to crawl around my car yearly to look for that kind of stuff. And now my check it out list just got longer...

I think if you can have a Porsche fixed for less than 125$, you're doing well!
