Eric, I have them in both my cars, but one is a full race car and the other is a 80-90% track 10-20% street, now that I bought the 968 race car I'm thinking of putting the old battery back into the other car. Having a disconnect is almost a must, disconnect it after each use, I forget some times and if it's been a couple of months it might be dead and needs a new charge. Oh, also note you can't just use any charger on them, they didn't even recommend a battery tender, so you need a special charger.
So, if your goal is to put the car on a diet then ok, I got my 911 down to 2450lbs, but that is prettymuch gutted, fg bumpers, racing seats, headers exhaust, A/C, radio, etc and battery, think the stock was 35lbs the new 14lbs. If you only do 2-3 DEs a year I might not change the battery.
The problem is this track thing is a sickness and I have it bad :-)
