I mentioned in several other posts that I was replacing my headliner with Ultrasuede, and I finally have made the time to under go the project. Tonight I pulled the stock headliner. Relatively easy job, just a lot of screws to keep up with. Pulled off pretty simply. I am going to try to write up a DIY article, because my headliner had a bit of mold in it. Might be something worth doing just as an appearance/comfort item. I went with suede because I have a fetish for it on headliners, but I also played around with the idea of real leather. Instead I am doing my dash in italian leather (well actually an 86' dash), upper door panels in the same leather, and the center console in the leather. More of a 996/997 look interior with the French and Dove stitching. Anyways, so tonight I have the new headliner made, all the other parts covered, and tomorrow they go in. I will have some pictures posted tomorrow when I get around to it, but everything is going really well. I also ran into a problem. When removing the roof, I let my girlfriend remove the sunroof and of course she backed my latches well past the limit switch so my sunroof is currently duct tape shut <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> . Will be attacking that project tomorrow. Just thought I would post up that its relatively an easy job...so far about 2hrs worth of work, and probably another 1hr reinstalling. Dash is going to be a different story!
