Do those tops fit the 968 with minimal or no modifications?

No modification. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

However, I've seen a lot of people specify that a particular Saratoga top is for an automatic sunroof. Ergo, I conclude that Saratoga made a manual top as well, thought I've never actually seen one for sale.

RATS, missed another one. Someone went for the "but it now" price of $750. Just coundln't justify that price when I've seen it go for $500-$600. Ralph, how do I can a hold of dc Automotive?

Ask for Richard. He had one a few weeks ago when I stopped by their warehouse in Rocky Mount, NC.

Seems like there would be quite a market if someone began manufacturing these things again. I would think they could hit a lower price point, say $400, and sell a bunch more units. How much could it really cost for some tinted auto glass with the proper fittings and a rubber seal?

There was a company called Toys for Your Toys that tried to produce Saratoga tops. They were not successful for reasons unknown. They made a lot of promises but no delivery. Many think it was just a scam to get money up front from 968ers and then try to make them. I would love to see another compnay make an effort as you can see there is a lot of interest. I have been looking for one for 3 years at a reasonable price ($500) to no avail. As you can see the ones that are for sale are considerably more.

It's the wrong season for buying one right now anyhow. It's like buying a cab in the spring time.
