Throttle body production variances
#1

I need some clarification if anyone is willing

I have the intake mani and such off the car this winter. I was cleaning the throttle body and notice a 90 degree spigot on the back side the I don't remember removing a vaccuum hose from; it appears unused as it's greenish. PET doesn't show the spigot but shows another one on the side that I don't have There is a hole on the inside of the throttle body that appears to align with the unused connection. I tried to blow but my lips are too big

Thoughts?

yup - it's ported vacuum and goes to the air/oil separator

warning! do NOT connect a regular vacuum hose to the AOS. it requires the tiny hard plastic line

Ignore Flash, he has been thinking about his AOS for way to long. That vacuum line goes to the valve behind the strut tower, which feeds the vacuum reservoir.

That 90 degree fitting on the top is routed to a vacuum valve that opens the flow of air from the charcoal cannister on my car. The air/oil seperator line on my car is activated by a vacuum line that attaches to the intake manifold near the firewall.

Thanks for the info. I swear I didn't remove any line from that fitting but I guess I must have
