Lol, for religious folks, Italians are about as "relaxed" as it gets ..I think you and Ayn will do just fine there :-). I played soccer with a ( mostly ) Italian team ; 9 Italians, 1 Yugoslav and me. Almost all of them had a cross hanging from the rear view mirror, a statue of St. Anthony on the dash, they crossed themselves anytime we drove by a church, attended mass during weekends, etc. I can tell you categorically ( because I asked ) that all of them were rather agnostic, they really did not believe in " God " , at least not as the church portrays him, but they were still very spiritual and believed in some kind of force out there that binds all people, though not necessarily a divine one. However, they made it very clear that they respect this religious tradition and define themselves as catholic because it's so ingrained in their culture and identity, but even more importantly out of respect for their parents and grandparents' religious beliefs and traditions . It's all about respecting your elders . And that always calls for a drink, so let the wine pour was a motto by which they lived..and lived well, lol. I'll toast to that !

Let us review ...proof to support that nonsense... religious addicts...... complete fantasy...absurdity of the belief in the Christian God......guys in robes spewing 2000 year old garbage... if they do they are delusional...an illusion and mental illness... irrational commitment... succumbing to a virus...religious belief is a psychological weakness ..... and I'm sure there are more comments on people of faith. LOL

So, how could you POSSIBLY vote for Hillary, a devoted Methodist (for those that don't know, that makes here a believer in Christ commonly known as a Christian), Sunday school teacher (so she taught the absurdity you so despise), has affirmed her belief in prayer (read her book), and would most likely seek God's guidance if president. You would trust her with the Nuclear launch codes? Remember, just because she doesn't wear her faith on her sleeve, doesn't mean it is not real to her.

It seems the non-believer crowd has no one to vote for. You couldn't possibly trust any Democrat or Republican that may have a mental illness, virus, or be delusional. What if they think that God may provide some guidance in their life! Who knows what God may tell them to do, seems scary, no?

It seems like it may be time to get to Italy or France and find some non "delusional" politicians. These folks here are just crazy!

I'm starting to get scared myself.

Yes it does.

We've had religious presidents before ( most of them, I think ) and I'm sure we'll have more in the future, but none of the former ones managed to destroy the world just yet, or break the fabric of this nation, so I think it's fairly safe to assume ( or maybe be it's just hope ) that none of the future ones will deviate too much from ultimately making sound judgement and objective decisions , in spite of what their god may tell them in private.

Making sound judgements and objective decisions. Ds clearly you need to be taxed more! We need to surpass the tipping point of more people collecting entitlements than working and being productive before the collective masses will be happy. Why should you get to keep your money just because you work hard? One thing Donald Trump forgot to say was all these damn illegals are too religious. They rape and then go to church. Can you imagine?

But isn't that one of the purpose of the church for Catholics - if you commit a crime or a "sin" all you need to do is go to church, confess to the wise man in the dark booth, then ask for forgiveness, say your two or three Hail Mary(s) ( number depending on the severity of the sin I suppose ) and poof ! You are absolved of all your wrongdoings so you can get back to them again , until you need to go and get absolved ..once again ?

I was thinking perhaps all true believer Christians would love to vote for Hillary Clinton:  its perhaps the best chance we have to bring on the joy of Armageddon and the rapture of the second coming of Christ when all will be destroyed and only true believers will enter the kingdom of heaven?

Ds if you remember your history, in the Middle Ages indulgences were sold to raise money and to help gain almighty access. Based on your previous religious comments, you who are surely on a fast track to hell might consider this option. I have access to a limited supply of these aged instruments and would be willing to broker a deal for you. Heaven or eternal damnation? Seems like an easy choice. Don't forget, the fact that your not Catholic means you're going to hell anyway. So it might be a wise investment.

No you can't bring your cars!

Oh, come on that's just cruel ! ( not able to bring my cars in the afterlife ) . And I was so hoping at a chance to personify the " drive like a bat out of hell " motto.

World’s Most Persecuted Religion   (more wonderful results from this religion).

In this video, Raymond Ibrahim, a native of Egypt, discusses how Christianity has been virtually exterminated in many Muslim majority countries during the last 50 years, and speculates on the political motivation for why the Western media refuses to report on it.

No worries, when "they" run out of infidels, "they" can always fight amongst themselves. No shortage of holy places to blow up.

Hooray ! Everyone rejoice because starting tomorrow all wars, violent civil unrest, terrorism, murders, rape, child abuse, poverty, hunger, illness and misery around the globe is going to cease.. Why ?! Simple : because Pope Francis on his visit here PRAYED for all of this ..and heck, if "God" does not listen to, and grant the prayers of his holy eminence the Pope himself ...well that would be disappointing to say the least.

yikes , although I'm not afraid of lightning , at least not the kind RAP is talking about, lol , when a Romanian ( especially one whose father was born in Transylvania ) hears " the stake awaits you " it takes on a bit of a different meaning .

Of course since you will never die it's just a bit of repetition! By the way, if God listened to the Pope we would have no need for clean and green or climate control. Heck the Vatican bank would be honest, German Jews wouldn't have died, there would be no need for abortion, and Muslims would know their place. Mind you I'm a Catholic, although admittedly not a good one!

The other recent religious event ( the annual pilgrimage to Mecca ) has once again ended with the death of over seven hundred people who were trampled to death . The previous year or the year before that it was three hundred or so people IIRC. And a year or two before that another very large number of deaths. Ok, so these are folks who are trampled as they rush to throw stones at some columns ( I guess women are not allowed at those ceremonies , otherwise they'd be the target of those stores ..) in some ritual which is supposed to accomplish some divine cleansing, or whatnot other purpose. Seven hundred extremely devout Muslims dead at a ceremony which celebrates the greatness of Allah. And once again, bad timing because it sure seems Allah was on his coffee break at the time and did not notice the stampede in time to prevent the tragedy . And the families of those who died are no doubt convinced by their blind faith that it's all part of Allah's master plan, so those poor souls were recalled to paradise.... because ..? Maybe they were " defective " humans somehow ? Sad and senseless deaths but very difficult to have empathy when you look at the irony of the circumstances which led to the tragedy ..

Many of these are political issues, not religious issues.  The pope is jealous because many muslim mufftas and imams have their own country in addition to their own religion, and get to be political leaders as well.  Therefore the "incredibly humble" pope has to compete with other religions and get involved in politics.
