OK Porsche used to make a tractor I'll give you that, but I don't really see the yard work thing.

Any body got a fast Zero Turn that they want to talk about?

Do you stripe your lawn?

I am just tryin to get this moving....

I have to use a 28 HP diesel 4x4 tractor with a six-foot wide finish mower attached to do my yard. The ground is too uneven for a zero turn or a normal 'lawn tractor'.

How much grass are you cutting?

I have around 5 acres and use a 72" diesel Zero Turn. Also have a 4x4 tractor w/FL and BH.

I only have 4 acres, but a lot of it is grass under woods/trees, and a river running right through the middle of it that I have to mow on both sides. From the satellite photo it looks like all woods, but it's mostly grass underneath.

EDIT: Well, never mind, photos don't work in this forum apparently.

Here in California, where water is more scarce and expensive, we have been slowly converting to a lower water use landscape and drip irrigation. Mind you, I'm talking about a 1/6th of an acre lot with a 2300 Sq. Ft. two story house sitting on it, so there was never much grass to mow in any event. But when we had mostly grass, my water bill would approach $150.00 a month during the summer. We typically have a 7 month dry spell where we receive no measurable rainfall. My wife and I built a rock lined dry creek down on side of the house and across the front of the house. There are a couple of Japanese Maples and small asian junipers, azaleas and some other grasses and ground cover. Gets 5 minutes of drip irrigation every other day.

You mean people actually cut grass in their yard? I worked a landscaping job in high school and college and swore I'd never do that again. Stripes look good if it shows on the grass.
