Reaching the century mark...
#1

My car is almost at 100k miles. I have had the oil changed every 3k and the belts will need to be changed at 100k. What else should I be looking out for when they service the car? Only things that are necessary please <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> The clutch is in good shape still. I'm assuming it had to have been changed sometime as I don't think the clutch can last 100k miles. Tranmission seems to be in good shape also. Recently i've been having a problem getting it into 1st when going slower. Doesn't seem to let me shift into first unless i'm going slower than 15 mph. Hopefully it won't turn into a potential problem.

Thanks,

Stephen

Look in your owners manual, There is a list of service intervals and what should be done.

My original clutch had 125k before I replaced it. The disk was still good but the DMF was shot.

Think about everything that's rubber. Cooling system hoses, PS hoses, suspension bushings, CV joint boots, etc. All of these deteriorate with age, not just mileage.
